3C – Urgency matrix
Overview
Which ones of our futures should we act upon now, which one are strategic investments to act long term? Which ones are OK to dismiss at this stage, and which ones we should be aware of?
This exercise blends together cost-value matrix and trend analysis tools to understand which actions to prioritise and what not. We take a page from business strategy and implementation and this should bring prople closer to their comfort zone.
Facilitation tip 1
Ask people to duplicate their notes instead of moving from previous canvas. This allows you to document the whole decision trail afterwards.
Facilitation tip 2
You can also let the participants come up with their own axises, as long as the core idea remains: what are the futures and ideas to prioritise.
